GPO poll: ND still leads despite decline – Public cool on potential Tsipras or Samaras comebacks

A new nationwide poll by GPO, conducted between July 21 and 23, reveals significant losses across both government and opposition parties in the wake of the OPEKEPE scandal. The results show growing political uncertainty and rising numbers of undecided voters.
Voting Intentions: Decline Across the Board
According to the poll:
New Democracy (ND) drops to 23%, down 3 points from June (26%)
PASOK falls to 11.2% (from 12.7%)
Course of Freedom declines to 10.5% (from 12.5%)
Hellenic Solution holds steady at 9.4%
KKE (Communist Party) remains at 7.2%
SYRIZA dips slightly to 5% (from 5.2%)
Voice of Logic: 2.9%
Democrats’ Movement: 2.3%
New Left: 1.5%
Victory (Niki): 1.9%
MeRA25: 1%
Undecided voters have surged to 17.7%, up from 12.1% in June — a clear indicator of voter disengagement and political instability.

Government Evaluation & Political Direction
The public's assessment of the government remains overwhelmingly negative:
70.8% rate the government’s performance as negative or mostly negative
Only 28.6% express a positive or mostly positive opinion
When asked about their preference if elections were held today:
68.2% would prefer a different government
Only 26.3% want the current government to stay in power

“None of the above”: 25.4%
Nikos Androulakis: 9.2%

Other political leaders remain in low single digits.
Prospects for Tsipras and Samaras
19.5% say they would “definitely or probably” vote for a new party founded by former Prime Minister Alexis
Tsipras, while 78% rule it out
