ND doubles lead as Konstantopoulou tops Androulakis
Greece’s ruling party, New Democracy (ND), has further widened its lead in the polls, doubling the score of the second party and solidifying its dominance, according to new surveys by MRB and Metron Analysis. With voter support surpassing 30%, ND appears firmly in control, while the race for second place intensifies between PASOK and the Course of Freedom.
Battle for Second: Konstantopoulou vs. Androulakis
Despite PASOK edging slightly ahead of Course of Freedom in voting estimates, Zoe Konstantopoulou continues to outperform PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis in personal popularity and prime ministerial suitability. Metron Analysis places her at 9%, well above Androulakis at 6%, although both trail far behind Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who maintains a commanding 27% rating.
Konstantopoulou also remains the most popular party leader, despite losing four points over the past month—a drop mirrored by leaders across the political spectrum.
Inflation and Geopolitics Shape Public Sentiment
Inflation remains the top social concern among voters, followed closely by anxiety over escalating tensions in the Middle East. Nearly 70% of respondents labeled Israel’s attack on Iran as “unacceptable.” Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump’s popularity plummeted, with his approval falling from 26% to just 18%.
Vote Projections Show Multi-Party Parliament
Metron Analysis estimates that up to 10 parties could enter Parliament if elections were held today. Voice of Reason, led by Afroditi Latinopoulou, is approaching the 3% threshold with 2.8%. MRB's projections suggest seven parties would pass the bar, with undecided voters still making up a significant 21.6% of the electorate.
Both polls reflect a downward trend for Course of Freedom, now polling below its European election score. ND, by contrast, is projected at 30.2% in both polls, more than doubling the vote share of its nearest competitor.
Victory Projection: ND’s Massive Advantage
MRB's "victory projection" gives ND an overwhelming 46.7%, a full 40.5 points ahead of PASOK. The same poll shows PASOK with 14% and Course of Freedom trailing with 13.6%. MeRA25, NIKI, and the Democracy Movement hover near the threshold, suggesting the final makeup of Parliament remains fluid.
Ministers’ Popularity: Dendias Leads
Among ministers, Defense Minister Nikos Dendias remains the most popular, followed by Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Takis Theodorikakos, Vassilis Kikilias, and Kostis Hatzidakis.
National Mood: Fear and Anger Dominate
Public sentiment remains tense. Nearly half of respondents report feeling fear (46.7%) or anger (44.9%) about the country’s direction, while only 30% express hope—underscoring the deep uncertainty permeating Greek society amid economic pressures and regional instability.
