Poll shows deep public dissatisfaction with government

A new ProRata poll for Efimerida ton Syntakton shows widespread dissatisfaction with the Greek government, with around two thirds of respondents expressing strong disappointment and discontent.

The September survey, conducted following the appearances of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and former prime minister Alexis Tsipras at the Thessaloniki International Fair, indicates that a majority of respondents favor a change in government.

New democracy remains first

New Democracy remains the largest political force in the survey, but records a relatively low 25.5% support.

The Hellenic Police comes second with 16.5%, recording a one-point increase from the previous measurement.

PASOK also gains ground, rising by half a percentage point to 9%.

Samaras party gains influence

The political organization expected to be launched by former prime minister Antonis Samaras records increased electoral influence, according to the poll.

Greek Solution and the Communist Party of Greece also register smaller gains.

By contrast, support for Zoe Konstantopoulou's political movement remains low, while the "Hope for Democracy" party associated with Maria Karystianou records a sharp decline.

Mera25 remains above parliamentary threshold

Mera25 is also projected to enter parliament, according to the survey.

The findings point to a fragmented political landscape, with New Democracy maintaining its lead but facing significant dissatisfaction among voters and growing competition from parties and new political formations.
