Among New Democracy voters, however, 72.3% said they were satisfied with the government. The pattern was reversed among supporters of opposition parties.

PASOK leads on opposition performance

Asked which party was conducting the most substantial opposition, 16.6% of respondents selected PASOK, followed by ELAS at 9.2%, Course of Freedom at 8.2% and Greek Solution at 6.7%.

KKE received 4.6%, SYRIZA 3.9%, Voice of Reason 3.3% and Hope for Democracy 2.4%.

Meanwhile, 39.5% said no party was providing particularly satisfactory opposition, highlighting widespread dissatisfaction with the performance of opposition forces.

Rising prices remain a major concern

Another 31.8% said the government was trying to help but needed to introduce stronger measures and controls. Only 13% believed it was doing everything possible with the resources available.

Mixed views on Rubio’s visit to Athens

The poll also examined public perceptions of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s official visit to Athens the previous week.

A total of 45.1% of respondents viewed the visit positively or rather positively, while 40.7% expressed a negative or rather negative opinion.

The findings point to contrasting public assessments of Greece’s governing party, the opposition and the government’s handling of economic pressures, particularly the persistent rise in consumer prices.
