Poll shows New Democracy leading with 30.8% ahead of ELAS and PASOK

Greece's ruling New Democracy (ND) remains the country's leading political party, securing 30.8% in vote share estimates, according to a new Marc opinion poll published by the newspaper Proto Thema ahead of the August holiday period.

The survey places ELAS, led by former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, in second place with 16.8%, leaving the governing party with a lead of nearly 14 percentage points. PASOK ranks third with 11%, gaining half a percentage point compared to the previous Marc poll.

The remaining parties are projected to receive the following vote shares: Greek Solution at 7.5%, Hope for Democracy at 7.4%, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) at 6.7%, Course of Freedom at 5.5%, Voice of Reason at 3.5%, and MeRA25 at 3.1%.

Meanwhile, SYRIZA is estimated at just 1.3%, while New Left records 0.3%, reflecting a significant decline in support for both parties.

The nationwide survey was conducted between July 20 and 23 among 1,178 voters and has a maximum margin of error of ±2.9%.
