A new opinion poll conducted by GPO for Parapolitika between July 21–23, 2025, reveals growing public frustration with Greece’s political establishment, as political fatigue and institutional disappointment dominate voter sentiment.

The poll shows New Democracy (ND) maintaining the lead in voting intention with 28.7%, though the party is facing mounting dissatisfaction, especially following the OPEKEPE farming subsidy scandal. The scandal is considered “very important” by 93.2% of respondents, with 74.5% rating the government's handling of the issue negatively. Additionally, 74% say their trust in the government has been shaken.

Public frustration appears to extend beyond the ruling party. PASOK, which is polling second with 14%, also received criticism for its response to the scandal — 69.1% of respondents expressed disappointment in the party’s stance. Course of Freedom, which ranks third at 13.1%, likewise did not significantly benefit from the ruling party’s losses.

The scandal is broadly perceived not as an isolated case but as part of a systemic problem in Greek politics — a view shared by 72.8% of those surveyed.

Adjusted Voter Estimates:

New Democracy: 28.7%

PASOK: 14%

Course of Freedom: 13.1%

Greek Solution: 11.8%

KKE (Communist Party): 9%

SYRIZA: 6.3%

Voice of Logic: 3.6%

Democracy Movement: 3%

Niki: 2.4%

New Left: 1.8%

MeRA25: 1.3%

Notably, the percentage of undecided voters has risen from 12.1% in June to 17.7%, highlighting a growing sense of political alienation.

As the political landscape continues to shift, the major parties are being called upon to regain public trust, address systemic issues, and provide credible alternatives — especially ahead of any potential electoral developments.
