YTB Vice President Murat Kazancı, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan students and many guests attended the iftar programme held at the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) building in Ankara.

International students commented on the Ramadan atmosphere in Türkiye to AA correspondent.

Bekzod Khamroev from Uzbekistan, who is doing his master's degree in the Department of Oriental Studies at Yıldırım Beyazıt University, stated that there is no difference between Ramadan in his country and in Türkiye, "The only difference between Turkey and my country may be the food. We feel like we are at home in Türkiye."

Khamroev said that he often visits Türkiye for iftar during Ramadan.

Adilet Akynali Uulu from Kyrgyzstan, who holds a master's degree in international security at the Police Academy, described the Ramadan atmosphere in Türkiye as "the best of the best" and said, "I do not see any difference because our ancestors are one, our graves and markets are one, and civilisations are one."

Sandugash Kels from Kazakhstan, a postgraduate student at Hacı Bayram Veli University, Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects, stated that there are Ramadan pita and Ramadan drummers in Türkiye differently from his country and that the drummers add colour to Ramadan at sahur.

In Kazakhstan, the words "auiz aşar" are used for iftar and "seresi" for sahur

Kels, who said that he had crowded iftar meals with his relatives and friends during Ramadan in Kazakhstan, stated that the words "auız aşar" for iftar and "seresi" for sahur are used in his country.

Aybölek Magtymkulyyeva from Turkmenistan, a student of the Department of Musicology at Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts, said that she was proud to study in Turkey and very happy to spend Ramadan with her friends.

Tavat Asadova from Azerbaijan, who is a postgraduate student at Ankara University, Department of Special Education, stated that the spirituality of Ramadan is very well experienced in Türkiye and that they had the opportunity to get to know the Ramadan atmosphere more closely thanks to the iftar programme.

Asadova noted that it is very special for people to come together at iftar tables and said, "Azerbaijan and Türkiye are sister countries. Our cultures are almost the same, but the more enthusiastic Ramadan in Türkiye made me more happy."

After the iftar, the guests visited the stands set up for the promotion of the countries.
