İskeçe Minority High School Students complete educational trip to Athens
Students from the İskeçe Minority Middle and High School successfully completed a four-day educational trip to Athens, gaining first-hand insight into the country’s political and cultural landscape.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The trip, organized for 11th-grade students between March 26 and 29, combined academic enrichment with cultural exploration. One of the key highlights was a visit to the Hellenic Parliament, where students learned about Greece’s political system and parliamentary structure through on-site observation.
Exploring Athens’ Cultural Heritage
In addition to institutional visits, students toured major historical and cultural landmarks across Athens, allowing them to better understand the city’s rich heritage. The program aimed to provide a holistic educational experience by blending history, politics, and social exposure.
Support from Educators and School Community
In a statement, the school’s governing board emphasized the importance of such initiatives in contributing to students’ academic and social development. The trip was conducted under the guidance of teachers Eva Steryanidu, Harun Ali, and Konstantinos Zografopulos, who were thanked for their support throughout the program.
The school board and Parent-Teacher Association also extended their appreciation to everyone involved in organizing the trip, wishing students and staff a safe return journey.
Investing in Future Generations
Educational trips such as this play a key role in broadening students’ perspectives, encouraging civic awareness, and strengthening their connection to both local and national contexts.
