Stefanos Kasselakis announces new political movement
Greek politician Stefanos Kasselakis has announced the formation of a new political movement committed to democratic values and citizen empowerment. Describing it as a "movement for democracy, free citizens, and progress," Kasselakis emphasized that this initiative is led by its members, not state-backed figures or entrenched bureaucrats.
Highlighting the inclusive nature of the movement, Kasselakis declared, "Everyone has an equal voice here, and this movement belongs to all members—not to its leaders." He envisions the organization as a continuation of SYRIZA’s democratic and progressive mission, aimed at resonating with a broad spectrum of Greek society.
This new movement will focus on justice, social rights, and a fair society. While grounded in leftist values, Kasselakis also aims to appeal to conservative voters committed to the rule of law and institutional stability. His goal is to create a system where social rights are protected, and justice prevails.
Kasselakis hopes to attract supporters disillusioned by SYRIZA’s recent struggles, promising an open, member-driven structure and a future where citizens have a decisive role in shaping Greece's democratic and just future.
