International Symposium of Sayyid Ali Sultan started in Komotini
Under the leadership of Seçek Minority Education and Culture Association, with the support of Hacı Bayram Veli University, Hacı Bektaş Veli Research Application and Research Center in terms of Turkish Culture and Razgrad Cem Association in Bulgaria, the international symposium, which was held for the first time in Komotini, has participants from 8 different countries.
The program of the International Symposium and Commemoration of Seyyid Ali Sultan, organized on the occasion of the 620th anniversary of the death of Seyyid Ali Sultan, the watchdog of Rumelia, started with the speech of Seçek Minority Education and Culture Association President Necmettin Kahya.
"My Deputy, Mufti of Komotini and Xanthi, the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye, Seyyid Ali Sultan Dervish Lodge, Hünkar Hacı Bektaş Veli Çelebileri, my FEP Party President, heads and administrators of non-governmental organizations, mayors, grandfathers, fathers, mentors, dervishes and souls.
Welcome to the International Seyyid Ali Sultan Symposium and Commemoration Event, organized by the Seçek Minority Education and Culture Association, with participation from 8 countries, with participation from Hacı Bayram Veli University, Hacı Bektaş Veli Research Application and Research Center in terms of Turkish Culture and Razgrad Cem Association in Bulgaria.
As it is known, Seyyit Ali Sultan, one of the caliphs of Hünkar Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli, is an alperen dervish who followed Sarı Saltug, who was active in all of Rumeli during the Seljuk State. He took part in the conquest of Rumelia during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Orhan Gazi, and who also conquered hearts with his wooden sword, is in the second ring that carries his knowledge, wisdom and ingenuity from Anatolia to Rumelia and the Balkans.
The first of the objectives of the International Symposium of Sayyid Ali Sultan we have organized is to convey the historical dimension of the existence of Turks in Rumelia, both in Western Thrace and in academic circles, by recalling Sayyid Ali Sultan and his activities.

Afterwards, sessions were held where speakers from different countries would speak about the topics to be discussed within the scope of the events.
There will be 4 sessions on the first day of the events. Two more sessions will be held with speakers from different countries.
