Great fast breaking program in Mehrikoz
An iftar program was held on Saturday, April 8, in Mehrikoz village of Kozlukebir municipality in Rhodope province.
Many guests and local people attended the iftar organized by the residents of Mehrikoz village.
After the fast-breaking dinner, İbrahim Şerif, Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini, and Türkiye's Consul General to Komotini, Aykut Unal, made speeches.
In his speech, İbrahim Şerif thanked those who contributed to the organization of the iftar. Referring to the meaning and importance of the month of Ramadan and especially the Night of Power, Mufti Şerif congratulated the people of Mehrikoz village for continuing this beautiful iftar tradition.
Aykut Unal, Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini, expressed his happiness to be with his fellow citizens in the village of Mehrikoz. Ünal stated that Türkiye's Ambassador to Athens, Çağatay Erciyes, will also visit the region during the feast and invited the people of the region to the feast that will be held at the consulate on the first day of the feast.

After the prayer, the guests visited the Mehrikoz Branch of the Seçek Minority Education and Culture Association and chatted with their fellow citizens.
