Poll shows drop in support for ruling New Democracy

The poll shows ND down by 4.5 percentage points compared to June, now projected at 25.9%. Despite the drop, the party still leads over centrist PASOK, which stands at 14.8%.
Right-wing Greek Solution (Elliniki Lysi) recorded strong gains at 10.1%, followed closely by the left-wing Freedom Course (Plefsi Eleftherias) at 10%. The Communist Party (KKE) registered 7.8%, while the Democracy Movement (Kinima Dimokratias) was at 5.3%.
In voting intention, ND remains first with 21.4%, ahead of PASOK (12.2%), Greek Solution (8.4%), Freedom Course (8.3%), and KKE (6.5%).
On leadership preferences, 31% of respondents chose Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis as “most suitable” to lead the country, compared to 26% for former SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras. However, a majority (43%) said no politician fits the role — also reflected in the trust question, where 30.9% opted for “no one.” Mitsotakis followed with 26.5%, well ahead of other contenders.
Analysts note that ND’s decline is partly linked to a string of corruption scandals. The most recent — the farming funds scandal, which drew the attention of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office — led to the resignation of a senior cabinet member and party officials.
