Eastern Macedonia–Thrace expands tourism outreach with B2B event in Warsaw

The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT) continues to strengthen its international tourism footprint by participating in a business-to-business (B2B) tourism event held in Warsaw, as part of its broader promotional strategy.

The initiative is aimed at enhancing the region’s visibility in key global markets and fostering direct partnerships within the European tourism industry.

Regional Delegation Engages Industry Leaders
The EMT delegation was led by Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism Panayotis Arxhontis, accompanied by members of the tourism promotion team. During the event, the delegation conducted more than 50 one-on-one meetings with representatives of Poland’s tourism sector.

These B2B meetings provided a platform for direct engagement with travel agencies, tour operators, and industry stakeholders, facilitating potential collaborations ahead of the upcoming summer season.

Showcasing Tourism Potential
Throughout the discussions, EMT representatives presented the region’s diverse tourism offerings, highlighting its natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and destination variety. The meetings also included exchanges on anticipated travel trends and opportunities for increased tourist flows between Poland and Greece.

Ongoing International Promotion
Officials noted that the Warsaw event forms part of a sustained effort to position Eastern Macedonia–Thrace more prominently within international tourism markets. Similar outreach activities are planned in other countries to further expand the region’s network.

Next Stop: Bucharest
As part of its ongoing campaign, EMT announced that its next tourism promotion stop will be in Bucharest, continuing its engagement with key regional markets.
