Xanthippi almost on fire

The famous Xanthippi restaurant in the north of Xanthi with a view of Xanthi almost burnt down
According to the information obtained from the residents of Aren neighbourhood, a fire broke out in front of the restaurant at around 6 am on 31 July. The fire was extinguished in a very short time by the firefighters who were on night watch and a major disaster was prevented.
The area in front of the restaurant is known to be a gathering place for young people during the summer months. It is estimated that the fire was probably caused by a cigarette butt.
Fire brigade teams are doing cooling work and investigating the actual cause of the fire.
