Regional Governor Topsidis visits Maroneia-Sapes Municipality — Focus on stream “pollution” issue
The Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, accompanied by the Deputy Regional Governor and thematic deputy governors, paid an official visit to the Municipality of Maroneia-Sapes. During the visit, the delegation held discussions with the Mayor and deputy mayors of Maroneia-Sapes, emphasizing the importance of meaningful cooperation and taking steady steps forward for the region's development.
A key topic of the meeting was the reported “pollution” of a stream in the area of Strymi, raised by the Mayor. Regional authorities confirmed that their services have already taken immediate action to investigate and address the issue in coordination with the municipality.
