New school year started in Greece
The 2022-2023 Academic Year in Greece started with the ringing of the first bell this morning. After the summer vacation, the school gardens were filled with students again.
Hundreds of thousands of students who will be educated in kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and high schools across the country experienced the excitement of the first day of school this morning. The excitement of the start of the academic year was also experienced in Western Thrace.
The tradition continued this year at the Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School in Komotini. Chocolates were served to the students and parents who came to the school at the main door. Members of the Council Committee gave pens as a gift to all students.
School Principal Tunalp Mehmet, teachers and Board Members Sebahattin Çakır and Tarkan Multaza paid close attention to both students and parents on the first day of the school year.
On the occasion of the new school year, the school principal Tunalp Mehmet gave a speech to the students. In his speech, the director stated:
“My esteemed teacher friends, esteemed parents and very dear students. I greet you with the excitement of starting a new academic year.
On this day that we start a new academic year, I would like to welcome our newly registered students to our school; I wish you a healthy, happy, peaceful and successful new academic year.
My dear students, I fully believe that you will achieve our goal as adults who can stand upright and solid on their own feet. Because our school is a school equipped with all kinds of educational tools.
In this regard, we expect you to comply with the school and community rules, to complete the tasks assigned to you on time, to use your time well and efficiently, and to set an example for your environment and your little ones with your behavior.
I wish the 2022-2023 Academic Year to be beneficial for our students and our school, and I present my love and respect.”
Fuat Perende, Chairman of the Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School Board of Directors, said in a statement to MİLLET about the new academic year:
“The 2022-2023 academic year is successful and ethical for the students of our minority middle and high school Celal Bayar, as well as for our other minority and majority students. I hope it will be a year with plenty of gains.”
TUNALP MEHMET: “WE ARE READY FOR TRAINING!”
Mehmet Tunalp, Principal of Celal Bayar Secondary School and High School, said in a statement to the MİLLET newspaper that they are ready to provide training in terms of teachers, equipment and books. Director Tunlap said:
“We have 103 new registrations this year. We expect the Turkish books to arrive soon. We currently are not lacking in Turkish and Greek books.
We are waiting for our quota teachers to join us as soon as possible. Our curriculum will be completed after our quota teachers arrive. Our school has all kinds of educational tools as equipment.
Our teachers have all kinds of knowledge and we are ready to train our students in the best way as Celâl Bayar Secondary School and High School family.”
