GNTO: Event to promote Greece in Turkiye's market held in Istanbul
A B2B Tourism Networking Event was recently held in Istanbul, aiming to promote and showcase Greek destinations to the Turkish market, according to an announcement on Friday by the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO).
The event took place on October 10, 2025, under the auspices of the GNTO and was organised by the company Louder than Horn, in collaboration with the GNTO Office in Turkiye and the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB).
The event was addressed by Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Istanbul; Davut Günaydın, Vice President of TURSAB; and Maria Rahmanidou, Head of the GNTO Office in Turkiye.
In total, more than 140 B2B meetings were held in a dynamic environment that encouraged the exchange of know-how, the development of synergies, and the exploration of joint tourism products.
The Greek delegations presented the tourism potential of their regions, highlighting special forms of tourism related to culture, gastronomy, sustainable wellness, and experiential travel.
According to the same announcement, Turkiye is a tourism market of strategic importance for Greece.
The purpose of the event was to strengthen the tourism connection between Greece and Turkiye through direct professional meetings between representatives of the tourism sectors of both countries, as part of the GNTO’s outward-looking strategy to position Greece as a top holiday destination for the modern traveller.
