Deputy Baran conveys the problems of Xanthi State Hospital Internal Medicine Clinic to the minister
Emphasizing that Xanthi State Hospital Internal Medicine Clinic is struggling with serious problems, Deputy Burhan Baran asked the Minister of Health Thanos Plevris in his parliamentary question whether something could be done by the ministry to solve the problems that are experienced in other clinics, especially in the Internal Medicine Clinic, that prevent the citizens from receiving quality health care.
Deputy Baran emphasized the following issues in the parliamentary question he presented to Minister Plevris on the subject.
"Due to the pandemic in recent years, the existing deficiencies in the National Health System continue to be experienced more intensely in recent days, while the Xanthi (Xanthi) State Hospital has been giving emergency signals recently, as in many hospitals in our country.
The director of the Internal Medicine Clinic of the Xanthi State Hospital stated, "As the patient density in the internal medicine department is high, it is not possible for our department to provide safe service and this unfortunately puts the lives of the patients at risk." In addition, the Xanthi Physicians Association stated the deficiencies in the State Hospital in our city and warned the citizens about the problems caused by this situation.
As a physician and also a deputy of Xanthi Province, I have repeatedly expressed my thoughts about the poor state of not only the Internal Medicine Department of the Xanthi state hospital, but also the other health units in our province.
As I think that the residents of our city of Xanthi certainly do not deserve the treatment of second-class citizens, and because the most precious blessing given to us is health, I present the following question to the competent minister.
Do you intend to take any initiative to solve the problems of the Internal Medicine department of the Xanthi State Hospital and other departments?"
