Construction of Komotini State Hospital progresses
Stavros Niarchos Foundation Administrative Director Panos Papoulias informed ERT that foundational work and the first-floor concrete slabs have been completed. The installation of ferro-acetate reinforcements and mechanical systems is underway, with geo-metal systems set to be installed in the coming weeks.
Papoulias highlighted that efforts to equip the hospital with state-of-the-art medical devices are advancing in parallel with construction. Necessary equipment orders have been placed to ensure immediate installation upon project completion.
A public briefing session will take place today, December 3, at 6:00 PM in the former REX Cinema Hall in Komotini. Representatives from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, construction company officials, and Deputy Health Minister Marios Themistokleos will participate in the session to provide updates and address questions about the hospital project.
