Gümülcine and Yassıköy mayors discuss municipal cooperation
Yassıköy Mayor Caner Imam visited Gümülcine Mayor Yannis Garanis for a meeting focused on shared municipal priorities, including the operation of the wastewater treatment facility and various technical issues affecting both municipalities.
According to Imam, the meeting took place in a “very positive and constructive atmosphere,” with both sides discussing practical issues and opportunities for closer coordination.
“We are continuing our work with determination to strengthen cooperation between the two municipalities and address the needs of Yassıköy,” Imam said.
The meeting was seen as an opportunity to reinforce existing cooperation between the municipalities and pursue practical, solution-oriented approaches to issues affecting the local communities.
The discussions also underline the importance of inter-municipal coordination in addressing shared infrastructure and environmental challenges in the wider Gümülcine area.
