Dimetoka (Didymoteicho) hospital receives €1.159 million investment
The Didymoteicho Hospital in the Meriç region is set to receive a €1.159 million investment aimed at strengthening its medical and technical infrastructure.
The project will provide the hospital with new medical technology, electromechanical systems and other essential equipment, with the goal of improving its operational capacity and the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.
The investment will be implemented under the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2021–2027 Programme, with funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
Medical and electromechanical equipment to be upgraded
The project includes the procurement of a range of medical technology equipment required by the hospital, alongside new electromechanical systems and equipment for hospital operations.
The new infrastructure is expected to increase the hospital’s capacity, improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery and create better working and treatment conditions for both healthcare professionals and patients.
Investment aims to improve healthcare in the Meriç region
Didymoteicho Hospital is an important healthcare provider for residents in central and northern parts of the Meriç region. The investment is expected to strengthen the hospital’s ability to respond to modern healthcare needs and improve the services available to the local population.
The decision to include the project in the regional programme was signed by Christodoulos Topsidis, Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
Hospital management welcomes funding
Didymoteicho Hospital Director Pavlos Eleftheriadis thanked the administration of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region and the officials responsible for managing the programme for their contribution to securing the investment.
Hospital management also highlighted the work of staff involved in preparing the project and securing its funding, saying efforts would continue to develop further projects aimed at upgrading the hospital’s infrastructure in the coming period.
