BTTDD Bursa Branch held its traditional iftar program in Hatay

Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association (BTDDD) Bursa Branch held its traditional iftar program in Hatay, one of the cities that suffered the most damage in the earthquake on 6 February this year.
“In Hatay, where the wounds are still fresh and the reconstruction works have begun, we conveyed the greetings of our Western Thrace fellow citizens to the families of the earthquake victims in order to share the suffering of our citizens and to support them.” BTTDD Bursa Branch President Hasan Karaömer stated that the decision to organize this year's fast-breaking program in Hatay received great support.
Karaömer said, “We, as Western Thracians, stand by our homeland today as we always do. In addition to the aid we have sent to the earthquake region with a great cooperation since the first moment of the earthquake, we did not want to leave our earthquake victims alone in the holy month of Ramadan. Just as one of the virtues of fasting is that those who are full understand the situation of those who are hungry, we thought that we should understand the condition of our citizens here while we were sitting in our warm homes.
For this purpose, we decided to share this year's iftar dinner on behalf of our fellow citizens with our citizens in Hatay. Yes, the pain is great here, the pain is fresh here, but there is no difficulty that Turkish people cannot overcome when they are hand in hand.
Just as we, as Western Thracians, feel confident that our homeland is with us, today is the day to pay off our debt to your homeland.
Today is the day to stand by our citizens who were damaged by the earthquake.
As the BTTDD Bursa Branch board of directors, we are extremely proud to mediate such solidarity on behalf of our fellow citizens.
We are proud to convey the greetings of the Turks of Western Thrace to people who are miles away from our homeland and to share their sustenance.” said.
“WE WILL BE IN MALATYA YEŞİLYURT NEXT WEEK”
Explaining that his aid to the earthquake area will continue, Karaömer said, “We met with our citizens in Hatay this week. As BTTDD Bursa Branch, we will continue to do our best for our earthquake victims and next week we will organize an iftar and sahur program on behalf of our fellow citizens in Yeşilyurt district of Malatya.” said.
Chairman Hasan Karaömer, board members Aziz Azizoğlu, Ali Osman Aliosman, Bünyamin Ayaz, Bülent Recepoğlu, Zekeriya Osman, represented the Bursa Branch of the BTTDD in the iftar program, in which more than 2 thousand fast-breaking meals were served, in which the Mayor of Osmangazi, originally from Western Thrace, Mustafa Dündar, also participated together with Rıdvan Mehmet, Hasan Kurtuluş, İsmail Hüseyin, Uğur Raşit and Mert Sarıcalı.
