Western Thrace Turks Association hosts student iftar in Istanbul
The gathering took place in the congress hall of the association’s Zeytinburnu branch and was organized in cooperation with the Women’s Branch of the BTTDD Headquarters and the local branch administration.
Traditional Dishes Prepared by Volunteers
During the event, participants were served traditional dishes prepared by volunteer mothers from the community, adding a cultural and familial touch to the iftar table.
The program attracted strong participation, bringing together young members of the Western Thrace Turkish community to share the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan.
Youth Engagement Highlighted by the Association
In a statement following the event, the association expressed satisfaction with the strong interest shown by young participants.
“The iftar program organized by the Women’s Branch of our headquarters and our Zeytinburnu branch took place in our congress hall. The strong participation of young people in the iftar meal, where traditional dishes prepared by our mothers were served, has pleased us in terms of the younger generation’s interest in the Western Thrace cause,” the statement said.
Strengthening Solidarity During Ramadan
Association officials also thanked the students who attended and expressed hope to meet again at similar events in the future. They emphasized that activities strengthening unity and solidarity within the community will continue.
The program concluded with informal conversations among participants, reflecting the spirit of unity and solidarity that characterizes the holy month of Ramadan.
