Students from İskeçe Quran courses visit Bolu and Istanbul

Students from the Muhacir and Ahriyan Mosque Quran courses affiliated with the İskeçe Mufti Office visited Bolu and Istanbul as part of a three-day educational and cultural tour focused on historical, cultural and spiritual heritage.

The trip was organized with the support and contribution of Mustafa Trampa, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of İskeçe, with the aim of enriching students’ cultural knowledge and strengthening their connection with historical and spiritual sites.

During the program, students visited educational institutions, historical landmarks, religious sites and natural attractions across Bolu and Istanbul.

The first stop of the tour was the Meryem Hatun Hafız Imam Hatip Secondary School in Bolu, where students observed Quran memorization education programs and learned about the institution’s activities.

Participants also visited Tokadî Hayreddin Hazretleri, Gölcük Nature Park and the Historic Stone Bazaar, experiencing both the spiritual and cultural heritage of Bolu.

The group later traveled to Mudurnu, Göynük and Abant Lake. In Göynük, students visited the tomb of Akşemsettin Hazretleri and offered prayers, while also visiting Debbağ Dede Hazretleri.

In Mudurnu, students toured the historic bazaar, traditional Ottoman houses, Yıldırım Bayezid Mosque and Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Mosque, gaining insights into the region’s architectural and cultural heritage.

Istanbul program highlights Ottoman and Islamic heritage

The final destination of the tour was Istanbul, where students visited Çamlıca Mosque and the Museum of Islamic Civilizations.

The program also included the viewing of the “Âb-ı Hayat” presentation and a Bosphorus tour, allowing students to experience Istanbul’s historical and cultural landmarks.

The three-day trip aimed to provide Quran course students from İskeçe with opportunities for cultural learning, spiritual development and closer engagement with Türkiye’s historical heritage.
