T. Livanios: 2027 elections to be held under the same electoral law

"The electoral law will remain unchanged," stated the Minister of the Interior, Theodoros Livanios.
He clarified that the 2027 elections will proceed with the same electoral system used in 2023. "This is an electoral law that balances the ability to form a majority government with significant proportionality. There is no possibility of changing the electoral law," Livanios emphasized.
He added, "The New Democracy party has the time to implement its plans, deliver on initiatives already underway, correct any missteps, and convince the people that the only viable alternative is a strong ND government. This is a government that has strengthened Greece's position globally, as opposed to a coalition resembling the nightmare of 2015, with parties that openly flirted with the drachma and the nation's bankruptcy."
Regarding the nomination of Konstantinos Tasoulas for President of the Republic by New Democracy, Livanios remarked:
"Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has thoroughly explained his reasoning for selecting Mr. Tasoulas as the presidential candidate. While there may be consensus figures within the center-left, there are also consensus figures within the center-right. Consensus is not exclusive to the center-left. Traditionally, New Democracy has demonstrated the most responsible stance on the institution of the President of the Republic since the post-junta era, unlike other parties that have played games with the process."
