Mitsotakis says Greek elections will be held in spring 2027

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has stated that the country’s next parliamentary elections will take place in the spring of 2027, dismissing speculation about an earlier vote.
Speaking in an interview, Mitsotakis said his government intends to complete its constitutional term and hold elections within the expected timeframe.
The prime minister noted that although the constitution allows elections later in 2027, the government’s current plan is to go to the polls in the spring.
The statement comes amid political discussions in Greece over the timing of the next national election and the government’s future strategy ahead of the electoral process.
