Former US ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle remains listed with a speakers' booking agency, with advertised fees of up to $100,000 per appearance, according to the New York Post. The listings come amid allegations of financial impropriety surrounding her diplomatic tenure.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former US ambassador to Greece, could earn between $50,000 and $100,000 for speaking engagements and other appearances, according to a report by the New York Post published on October 20.

The 57-year-old former Fox News host reportedly remains listed on the Speaker Booking Agency platform despite her departure from the diplomatic post last week. The advertised fees cover corporate events, speeches, virtual appearances, panel discussions and audience meet-and-greet sessions.

The reported fees have drawn scrutiny over the commercial value of political connections and public profiles built through proximity to powerful figures.

One source quoted by the New York Post described the arrangement as an example of political monetisation, arguing that individuals can spend years cultivating relationships with influential people before charging substantial sums for access to their public profile.

SPEAKING AGENCY LISTINGS
Guilfoyle's profile on Speaker Booking Agency reportedly identifies her as available for bookings based in West Palm Beach, Florida. However, her biography has not been updated to reflect her appointment in Greece, and it remains unclear when the listing was first published.

A competing agency, All American Speakers, previously advertised Guilfoyle for in-person appearances at fees of up to $100,000, while virtual engagements were listed at between $20,000 and $30,000. Her profile is no longer active on that platform, according to the report.

It remains unclear whether Guilfoyle has secured any paid engagements since leaving her diplomatic post or whether she will ultimately receive the amounts advertised by the agencies.

The New York Post said it contacted the booking agency and Guilfoyle's representatives but did not report receiving a response.

DEPARTURE AMID CONTROVERSY
The reported speaking fees have attracted additional attention because of allegations of financial impropriety surrounding Guilfoyle's tenure in Athens.

On October 13, the White House confirmed that Guilfoyle had been asked to resign, bringing her diplomatic assignment to an abrupt end, according to the Greek newspaper Efimerida ton Syntakton (Efsyn).

The departure followed reports concerning her conduct and dealings with business figures. The allegations have included claims about requests for substantial sums from Greek businesspeople in connection with a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. Such claims should be distinguished from independently established findings of wrongdoing.

The latest report has also reignited broader questions about the so-called revolving door between political office and private-sector earnings, particularly when a former official's commercial appeal may derive partly from their access to influential political circles.

One source cited by the New York Post questioned whether clients paying fees of $50,000 to $100,000 would be purchasing specialist expertise, celebrity status or the expectation of political access.

There is, in itself, nothing inherently improper about a former public official receiving payment for speaking engagements. The central questions in Guilfoyle's case are whether the advertised fees translate into actual bookings and how her departure from the diplomatic post will affect her commercial appeal.

Guilfoyle, who was previously engaged to Donald Trump Jr., has not been reported as having secured speaking engagements at the advertised rates following her departure.
