Samaras has not formally announced the creation of a new party. However, recent Greek media reports have indicated that preparations have increasingly focused on organisational issues and potential electoral candidates. Kathimerini reported in August that people close to Samaras were pointing toward a possible September launch.
The latest reported meeting is part of broader efforts to identify potential personnel for Samaras' prospective political formation.
Reports have suggested that the discussions are no longer limited to whether a new party will be created, but increasingly concern its potential candidates and organisational structure. Parapolitika has separately reported that Samaras is focusing on assembling electoral lists, including potential candidates in Achaia.
Other Greek media reports have also identified several names as being discussed for possible roles, although the individuals mentioned have not been officially confirmed as candidates by Samaras or a formally established party.
