Maria Karistianou to announce New Political Party launch in Selanik
The official unveiling is expected to take place on Thursday, May 21, at the historic Olympion Cinema in Thessaloniki, where Karistianou will introduce her party’s vision, structure, and political objectives to the public.
Karistianou has drawn increasing attention in recent months due to her outspoken political stance and growing public support base. Her new movement is expected to appeal particularly to voters who have expressed strong criticism of Greece’s established political system.
As part of the party formation process, supporters gathered on May 17 at an event held at the office of close associate Maria Gratsia in the Kolonaki area of Athens. The gathering, which was also livestreamed, saw participants signing the founding declaration in support of the new political initiative.
The event was attended by journalist Thanasis Avgerinos, who publicly supported the signature collection process.
According to reports, Karistianou was expected to submit the party’s founding declaration to the Areios Pagos earlier, but the filing was postponed to allow additional supporters arriving from outside Athens to participate in the process.
The upcoming announcement in Selanik is expected to formally mark the transition of Karistianou’s political initiative into an organized party structure.
