At 7 points the difference ND - SYRIZA, followed by PASOK. New Democracy receives 32%, SYRIZA 25% and PASOK 13%

New Democracy has a lead of 7 points over SYRIZA, according to a poll by Prorata. The nationwide political survey, published in EFSYN, was conducted on a sample of 1000 people and was conducted during the period 28-31 January 2022, that is, it includes what happened with the management of the bad weather “Elpida”.

Both in the intention to vote and in the assessment of votes, the difference between the two parties is at the level of 7 points. The winner is certainly KINAL - PASOK which moves to 13% in the intention to vote while in the estimation it gains 2 percentage points from December.

Specifically, according to Prorata, the image of the political scene has not changed significantly in the last two months.

MeRA is OUT

In the index of measuring the voting intention, New Democracy receives 32%, SYRIZA 25%, the KKE 5%, the Hellenic Solution 3.5% and the MeRA25 2%. The only exception is the electoral influence of the Movement for Change / PASOK, which is steadily expanding, reaching 13% in the present survey. According to this result MeRA25 does not enter the parliament.

As for the opinion index towards political leaders, the prime minister still has the most percentage of positive crises.

Analytically, 36% maintain a positive opinion for Kyriakos Mitsotakis and 52% negative, while for Alexis Tsipras 21% have a positive opinion and 66% negative, with the former being superior in the relevant balance of positive - negative views.

Third in the relevant ranking but with significant dynamics, due to the large percentage of neutral opinion (49%) is detected Nikos Androulakis, for whom 19% maintain a positive view, while 28% negative.

They are followed by Dimitris Koutsoumbas, Giannis Varoufakis and finally Kyriakos Velopoulos, for whom he maintains a positive opinion of only 5%.

Regarding the attitudes and evaluations of the population towards the management of the bad weather "Elpida" and the various problems that it created, there is a significant social dissatisfaction, with the arrow of attribution of responsibilities having a specific direction.

More specifically, 83% estimate that the Greek government is largely responsible for the problems created, while only 16% attribute little or no responsibility to it.

Indicative of the horizontal nature of the direction of responsibility for the problems created is the finding, according to which the majority of the current voters of the ruling party (about 6 out of 10) attribute most of the responsibility to the government.

However, in relation to the confinement of drivers on Attiki Odos, the responsibility seems to be shared.

The largest share (36%) attributes the main responsibility to the lack of preparation and handling of the Greek government, 32% to the private company that manages the highway, while 26% attributes the responsibility to the chronic inadequacies of the state mechanism.

At the same time, according to the findings regarding the management of the bad weather "Elpida", about 3 out of 4 maintain the opinion that the personal apology of the Prime Minister "for the citizens who suffered, staying for many hours trapped on Attiki Odos" was not satisfactory and will there should have been relevant resignations.

Finally, despite the relevant debate that has opened up in the public debate regarding the necessity or not of calling early elections in 2022, the majority (56%) maintain the view that the parliamentary elections should be held at the end of four years, that is, in 2023, with a smaller but significant share (41%) wishing to hold early elections during the current year.
