March for the shift education problem in the Minority High School of Xanthi
Parents who opposed the decision of the administration to shift education due to lack of class in the Minority High School of Xanthi were decided to march after two weeks of action.
The march will take place on Monday (September 23rd), demanding a response to shift training and a solution to the building problem. According to the decision, it was decided that all parents and students would participate in the march.
Due to the emergence of the shift education system because of inadequacy of the school building, the parents held an evaluation meeting at the Minority High School Sports Complex in Xanthi on Friday 20 September.
The meeting of the Xanthi Minority Secondary School Board of Directors and the Parent-Teacher Association was attended by students' parents, teachers, minority organizations and representatives of local governments.
PROBLEMS WERE REPORTED TO AUTHORITIES
During the meeting, the reaction to my shift education and the demand for the solution of the building problem in the school to the point of action taken until today was evaluated. The Board of Directors and the Parent-Teacher Association and the school administration, said that the number of new students has increased to 740 with the increase in the number of new registrations this year. In February and June, the Board of Directors and the Parent-Teacher Association reported that they had long and short-term requests in writing to the competent authorities to resolve the building problem in the school, but they had not received a positive response to these demands so far.
BUILDING PROBLEM SHOULD BE SOLVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
In the speeches made during the meeting, it was emphasized that the building problem in the school is unacceptable and that the necessary steps should be taken urgently to resolve it as soon as possible. Parents decided to continue the march and action.

After the decision, a written statement was made from the social media account of the school council committee.
The explanation is as follows: "As a result of the General Assembly of the School Parent Association that took place this evening, the boycott started at the school will be continued until Tuesday 24 September (including Tuesday) and also on Monday, September 23 at 11:30 a march will be held from the school to the city square and from there to the governor's office. It was unanimously decided to protest the building problem.”
