Farmers’ unions will hold a protest rally in Athens on November 11, arriving with their tractors to demand the immediate release of overdue payments from OPEKEPE.
The demonstration will begin at noon outside the Ministry of Rural Development, after which participants will march to OPEKEPE’s headquarters.
Farmers are demanding the immediate resolution of payment and compensation delays, which they say have created severe financial hardships.
They also call for urgent measures to address the growing crisis in livestock farming due to recent outbreaks of sheep pox.
