- 50% of households spend more than €1,338 per month.
- Households living in rented homes allocate 17.1% of their budget to rent.
- For the poorest 20% of households, food and housing expenses account for 55.9% of their total spending, while the richest 20% dedicate just 24.7%.
Regional Disparities
- The highest annual expenditure was recorded in the Region of Attica at €24,363.
- The lowest was in Central Greece, at €14,214.
Long-Term Trend
Household spending in 2024 was still 16.6% lower compared to 2008 levels. In constant prices, expenditures rose by 1% (€213.55), reflecting the impact of 2.6% inflation.
