Delivery services suspended between 11:00–18:00 today in Greece due to extreme heat
In response to the ongoing extreme heatwave affecting the country, the Greek Ministry of Labor has announced a temporary suspension of outdoor work for Wednesday, July 23, between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m..
The measure primarily targets motorbike couriers and all forms of outdoor physical labor, including deliveries made via motorcycles, bicycles, and scooters.
Only deliveries conducted in air-conditioned vehicles are permitted during these hours.
The restriction also applies to couriers working through online ordering platforms, with officials stressing that the move is designed to protect workers’ health amid dangerous temperatures.
In its official statement, the Ministry emphasized that employers and workers must fully comply with the regulation.
