Mümin Gençoğlu Commemoration Programme been postponed
Mümin Gençoğlu Commemoration Program, one of the important figures of Bulgarian Turks, to be organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), was postponed to a later date due to the earthquake in Türkiye.
The following statements were made in the statement made by YTB on the subject: “To commemorate Mümin Gençoğlu, who is also known as the “Immigrant Father” who devoted his life to the struggle for rights and freedom of the Bulgarian Turks, on the 30th anniversary of his death, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities was established on February 7, 2023. The programme to be held in Bursa was postponed to a later date due to the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. We wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives, and a speedy recovery to our wounded."
