Transportation support for dialysis patients in Üşekdere
Two elderly dialysis patients from Üşekdere, a village in the Rodopi region, were successfully transported to Komotini State Hospital despite challenging weather conditions.
The transfer was carried out through the collaboration of the Rodopi Regional Unit and the Rodopi Fire Department. A snowplow was dispatched to the area, overcoming harsh winter conditions to ensure the patients' safe transportation.
Manolis Tapakas, Deputy Governor responsible for the Rodopi region, announced the operation on his social media account. He praised the efforts of the teams involved and emphasized that the patients' conditions would continue to be monitored.
This initiative highlights the vital role of local authorities in ensuring access to healthcare services, even under adverse circumstances.
