Snowfall forces school closures in Mustafçova municipality
Heavy snowfall affecting the region, particularly the mountainous areas of Xanthi, has prompted the closure of all schools within the Mustafçova municipality for one day.
SCHOOL CLOSURES DUE TO WEATHER
Mustafçova Mayor Ahmet Kurt announced the decision via his personal social media account, stating that all primary and secondary schools in the municipality would remain closed on Monday, 7 April, due to adverse weather conditions.
In his statement, Mayor Kurt addressed parents and students directly:
"Dear parents and students, due to the ongoing heavy snowfall in our region, worsening weather conditions, and the possibility of icy roads in the coming hours, we have decided to suspend education for one day (7 April) in all primary and secondary schools under the jurisdiction of Mustafçova Municipality."
