Message of continuity in public service from Kozlukebir: “Positions are temporary, services are permanent”
The Municipality of Kozlukebir has announced the completion of two major infrastructure projects of significant importance to the region, underscoring a message of continuity in local governance.
According to the municipality, the projects—covering the redevelopment of Kozlukebir village square and the asphalting of agricultural roads connecting Kozlukebir with Domruköy–Basırlıköy—were implemented at a total cost of approximately €1.3 million.
Mayor Erdem Hüseyin noted that the concept, planning, and tender processes for the projects were carried out during the term of former Mayor Rıdvan Ahmet, expressing his appreciation for Ahmet’s contributions. Hüseyin added that the current administration ensured the completion of the works and the finalization of payments.
Drawing attention to the steadily declining minority population in the region, Mayor Hüseyin emphasized the growing need for solidarity within the community, stating:
“We have now been reduced to just a handful of people as a minority. We believe that instead of undermining one another, we must support each other. Today, our community needs unity and solidarity more than ever.”
Stressing that public offices are temporary while public services endure, Hüseyin concluded his remarks as follows:
“These positions are transient; mayors come and go, but our people are the true hosts. Yesterday, my brother Rıdvan served; today, we are serving; tomorrow, another colleague will serve. What truly matters is our unity and solidarity, and the contributions we bring to our region.”
The completion of the projects in Kozlukebir not only highlighted the principle of continuity in municipal governance but also reinforced a message of unity among local residents.
