İskeçe MP Zeybek condemns provocation targeting Çınar Mosque
Independent İskeçe (Xanthi) MP Hüseyin Zeybek has strongly condemned offensive and provocative expressions written by unidentified individuals on the wall of Çınar Mosque, calling for those responsible to be identified as soon as possible and face legal action.
In a statement, Zeybek condemned the incident, stressing that acts targeting places of worship and people's religious beliefs cannot be dismissed as mere acts of disrespect.
He described such actions as clear provocations that threaten social peace and the culture of coexistence.

Zeybek emphasized that respect for sacred places and people's religious beliefs is essential to preserving peace and tolerance in society.
He warned that attacks targeting different faiths and identities can fuel division and tension, and called on the relevant authorities to take the incident seriously.
Zeybek said the incident should not be treated as an ordinary piece of graffiti, urging authorities to identify those responsible without delay and initiate the necessary legal proceedings.
He also stressed that society must not allow hatred and discrimination to undermine public peace, adding that they would not remain silent in the face of similar provocations and would continue to stand for social peace and mutual respect.
