EMT Region participates in Tourism Fairs in Helsinki and Vienna
The year 2025 kicked off with a dual action for the Tourism Department of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region (EMT). From January 14 to 16, as part of a strategy aimed at expanding into Scandinavian countries, the region participated in a B2B event and tourism fair held in Helsinki, Finland, with the presence of the Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism, Panagiotis Archontis. The EMT Region's mission returned with positive results from this event.
Almost simultaneously, from January 15 to 17, a second mission from the EMT Region participated in the annual tourism fair in Vienna, Austria.
On their return journey, the Tourism Department’s mission brought back the first positive impressions for the prospects of tourism in the region for 2025. The tourism action program continues at full speed, and at the beginning of next month, there will be another B2B event and special initiative in Malmö, Sweden, as part of the ongoing effort to expand into the Scandinavian market, as previously mentioned.
