Charity campaign to be organised in the Municipality of Komotini for the families affected by the fire
The house of Hristos Kozminas, a resident of Susurkoy, was one of those whose house was burnt down in the fire that broke out in the forest area of the Yaka villages of Yassıköy Municipality in the Rhodope region and then spread to some settlements.
The Mayor of Komotini, Yannis Garanis, has authorised a fundraising campaign to support the fire-affected family of Hristos Kousminas from Susurkoy, who lost their home in the recent fire, with the decision number 22683/2023.
With the support of the Municipality of Komotini and in cooperation with and under the leadership of the Association of Artists, Culture, Tradition and Folklore, a fundraising campaign will be held on Thursday, 14 September 2023 between 09.00-19.00 hours at the town hall of Komotini for the fire victim family.
"It is important to sensitise as many of our citizens as possible to support the family affected by the fire," the municipality said in a statement.
