Ceremonies are over with the hatim in the Çınar Mosque
Ceremonies of hatim of Quran courses managed by the elected mufti of Xanthi are over for this season.
An enthusiastic crowd attended the hatim ceremony held at the Çınar Mosque in Xanthi, Aşağı Mahalle on Sunday, July 31.
Çınar Mosque's hatim ceremony was attended by Türkiye's Consul General of Komotini Murat Ömeroğlu, Xanthi Deputies Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Miki Mayor Rıdvan Deli Hüseyin, Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Komotini Turkish Youth Union President Sedat Hasan, Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association President Hüseyin Baltacı, the President of the Minority Schools Councilors Union Ahmet Kara and a large congregation attended.
The students of the Çınar Mosque Qur'an Course successfully received great appreciation for the Qur'an, hymns and poems they recited.
Ahmet Hraloğlu, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi, made the Hatim prayer.
In the greeting speeches made after the prayer, first of all, the students, their teachers and their families were congratulated.
In their speeches, deputies Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran once again underlined that the legal regulations regarding the muftis, which were accepted despite the reactions of the minority and themselves in the general assembly of the parliament, would not be accepted by our society.
The two deputies stated that such legal regulations, which once again trample the freedom of religion of the Western Thrace Turks, will never harm our unity and solidarity.
