Grand hatim ceremony held in Bekirli
A magnificent hatim ceremony was held on Sunday, June 29, in the village of Bekirli, which is part of the Yassıköy Municipality.
Organized under the auspices of the Muftiate of Komotini, the event celebrated the completion of Qur’an recitation by students of the Bekirli Village Qur’an Course. The ceremony took place at the village mosque and drew a large turnout.
Attendees included Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif, Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, Member of Parliament Özgür Ferhat, Yassıköy Mayor Caner Imam, and many guests from neighboring villages.
The program featured impressive recitations and performances by the students and concluded with a closing prayer (hatim duası) led by Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet.
In his address, Mufti İbrahim Şerif congratulated the students, their parents, and their instructors for their dedication and hard work.
Following the event, Deputy Mufti Ahmet shared a message on social media:
“Our Qur’an Course in Bekirli Village, under the Komotini Muftiate and Yassıköy Municipality, hosted a wonderful Hatim Program. The children’s performance was excellent. I congratulate our dear students, their families, and our teachers. I thank everyone who contributed to the program and pray that Allah accepts their efforts and is pleased with them.”
