Don't be fooled by the title! Do not say that there is racism with manhole cover and car tire!
Racism with manhole covers and car tires

We're sure you'll be surprised by the headline. But if the news in question is about Greece, you don't need to be surprised at all! Yes, yes you read it right! Even with manhole covers and car tires there is racism!

The dictionary meaning of the manhole cover is: It is an important material that provides the entry of water in sewer systems to collect waste water. The manhole cover we know.

Now let's try to explain the relevance of the manhole cover to racism!

The "made in Türkiye", manhole cover used by the Xanthi Municipality Water and Sewerage Department in a sewerage work in a neighborhood caught the attention of some of the local newspapers.

Wow, how can a Turkish-made material be used in a sewer operation on Greek land!

With the aforementioned newspaper publication, he seriously criticized the Head of the Water and Sewerage Department of Xanthi Municipality.

He is the author of lines that “smell of racism”, so to speak, he is infuriated.

Wow, how is it that Turkish Made Manhole Covers were used, he believes that he has fulfilled his duty as a patriotic citizen by presenting this “important” issue to the public.

It’s unbelievable! Be sure, believe it.

There are people with a “sick” mentality who forget that there is a commercial cooperation of more than 5 billion dollars between the two neighboring countries (Turkey and Greece), and who forget or ignore that Turkish goods can be freely circulated and sold in Greece, as well as Greek goods can be freely circulated and sold in Türkiye at the same time. But! We are talking about Xanthi, about Western Thrace, about Greece.

Speaking of racism, let's share a moment we witnessed.

Again, another unbelievable event about "racism"!

A while ago, I stopped by the tire shop to change the tire of the car. It was the turn. In front of me, a retired Christian fellow who owns the Renault brand was negotiating with the tire dealer.

Citizen: I want you to put me on good, cheap tires!

Tire Shop owner: Big brother, the best and cheapest tires are the ones made in Türkiye.

Citizen: No, no, no. Do not! I do not put Turkish made tires on my car. Are there any other brands?

Tire Shop owner: Yes, brother, here is this brand and that brand. This is this much, that is that much.

We overhear and watch the negotiations with great care.

Citizen: Oh, but these are very expensive. Is there any more?

Tire Shop owner: This is what I have. It’s your choice!

Citizen: These tires are a bit expensive, but I do not put Turkish made tires on my car. Go for those.

The tire maker could not stand the “racism-nationalism” approach of his retired Greek compatriot and said, “Sir, the property is mine, the money is yours.

I'll fit you the tire you want. Its my duty. You asked me for the cheapest and best quality tire. I said Turkish Made. You said no.

So which country does your car belong to?

Do you know that?" he asked.

Citizen: Of course, French made. Cannot you see? It's called Renault.

Tire Shop owner: Sir! It's true. Your car is a French brand. Well, do you know where this car was produced?

Citizen: Of course in France, bro. Are you kidding me!

The tire man opened the hood of the car and called the retired compatriot next to him and said:

Look, you see here. Do you know where this car was manufactured? It was produced in Bursa, in Türkiye.

This piece is Turkish made, this piece is Chinese made, this piece is completely made in Mexico, this piece is from Czechia”, the compatriot who froze openly said Aaaaaaa, I didn't know that. If I had known, I would not have bought this car. But it's done now. Please don't put Turkish made tires on my car anyway. Put on these European made tires and it's done!

Do you understand now!

Do not say that there can be no racism with Turkish made manhole cover and Turkish made car tires!

If this is Greece, if this is Western Thrace, if this is Xanthi, unfortunately it is still possible to come across such mentalities.

These and similar thoughts make people say, "What age and what world do we live in, O great God".

May Allah protect us from such mentalities!
