Two new departments to open at Democritus University in Drama
NEW UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENTS ANNOUNCED DURING LOCAL PRESS CONFERENCE
A press conference was held in Drama in the context of the 10th "Dramoinognosia" event, highlighting the region’s wine culture. The event was attended by Christodoulos Topsidis, Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Drama’s Deputy Governor Michalis Mourvetidis, and Professor Spyridon Mamalis of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH). The speakers emphasized the significance of the event for the local economy and tourism.
TWO NEW FACULTIES TO BEGIN OPERATIONS IN 2025
During the conference, officials announced the establishment of two new academic departments of Democritus University of Thrace to be based in Drama. These are the Department of Viticulture and Oenology, and the Department of Natural Environment and Climate Resilience. The official presentation of both departments is scheduled for 16 May 2025.
