According to local reports, the incident occurred on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street, where the teenagers fell from the top of a six-story building under circumstances that are still under investigation.

One of the girls was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second was transported in critical condition to Asklipio Voulas Hospital before being transferred to the KAT General Hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

Suicide Note Raises Alarm Over Mental Health Pressure
Following the tragedy, a handwritten note attributed to the deceased girl surfaced in local media, shedding light on her long-term psychological distress.

In the note, she reportedly wrote that she had been struggling with depression for three years and felt overwhelmed by academic pressure ahead of university entrance examinations.

“Mother and father, I have been depressed for three years… I no longer want to live. This world is not for me,” the note reportedly stated.

She also expressed fear of academic failure and described a growing sense of hopelessness about the future.

Witness Accounts and Investigation
Witnesses reported hearing a loud scream followed by a heavy impact. One neighbor said they immediately saw the two teenagers lying injured on the ground and called emergency services.

Emergency responders arrived within minutes, but one of the girls had already died from her injuries.

Authorities also noted that the deceased teenager had recently lost her father, a factor believed by acquaintances to have deeply affected her emotional state.

The incident is being investigated by local police, while authorities confirmed that psychological support services have been offered to the families.
