The ten members of the new Central Committee of SYRIZA from the region
Message of optimism and dynamics from Alexis Tsipras, with 172,000 in total voting and 110,000 new registrations.
With 172,000 voters, including more than 110,000 new registrants, the main opposition party completed the by-elections on Sunday. Alexis Tsipras emerged, as expected, as party president as the sole candidate with more than 95% acceptance.
Alexis Tsipras expressed his satisfaction for the election result and the massive turnout at the polls, noting: "SYRIZA, with 30,000 members, then won three electoral contests. SYRIZA, with 172,000 members today, is certain to be the first party with a difference in the next elections, whenever Mr. Mitsotakis decides to go to the polls. We are ready to bring hope and justice back to our homeland ".
In the polling stations set up in four parts of our prefecture, more than 1,000 people voted, of which 780 were new registrations. In its announcement, NE Xanthi stressed: "from today we are stronger, more ready. We have sent the bill back and in a little while we will send this disastrous government where it deserves. The great upheaval, the great change with the society standing is now a matter of time ".

Pending the official results of the electoral process for the election of the members of the Central Committee from Xanthi, it appears that: Stathis Giannakidis from Xanthi, Natasa Gara and Eliza Kalesi from Evros, Dimitris Karvounis and Sofia Fouli from Drama, Costas Morfidis, Vassilis Traiforos and Zoi Chomata from Kavala, Takis Haritou and Angeliki Kougioumtzoglou from Rodopi.
The official results are not available yet, however, Stathis Giannakidis from Xanthi is safely elected as a member of the Central Committee. He is the only one among the 10 nominated by AMTH for the central political body of the party. The delegates from our Region will be a total of five men and five women.
