Signs of collapse in PASOK: Andrulakis’ popularity drops, Attiki region becomes a burden

The PASOK party in Greece is facing a crisis, with growing signs of a collapse in the party’s fortunes. According to the Powergame.gr website’s “Big Mouth” column, the party’s particularly low voter support in the Attiki Region is dragging down PASOK’s overall public image. The party, which had already been struggling, is now trailing behind the Plefsi Eleftherias party, led by Zoi Konstantopoulou.

The article suggests a deep internal division within PASOK, with one faction pushing for the party to continue alone, while another advocates for collaboration with left-wing parties. However, the question of which parties would be involved in such a coalition remains unclear. Additionally, it is noted that PASOK leader Nikos Andrulakis's political vision has not been adequately conveyed to the public, which has led to growing disappointment among voters.

PASOK’s already-low voter share is reportedly worsening in the Attiki region, further weakening the party’s national standing. Despite these setbacks, Nikos Andrulakis remains calm, believing that his rival Zoi Konstantopoulou will experience a loss in support in the near future, allowing PASOK to benefit from this decline.

These developments signal that PASOK will need to reassess its political strategy in the near future if it hopes to recover.
