PASOK slips to third as ND maintains clear lead
PASOK has fallen to third place in the latest opinion poll by MRB, trailing Zoe Konstantopoulou’s left-wing, Eurosceptic Plefsi Eleftherias (Course of Freedom), while ruling New Democracy (ND) remains comfortably ahead.
PASOK lost 0.5 percentage points in voter intent and 0.8 points in projected results, bringing it level with the right-wing Elliniki Lysi (Greek Solution). Plefsi recorded a sharp four-point increase compared to MRB’s previous poll.
PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis continues to post low approval ratings, with just 4.4% of respondents viewing him as suitable for prime minister. PASOK’s projected vote share stands at 12.7%.
ND saw a marginal gain of 0.1 points, while Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads the suitability-for-premier question with 23.2%, compared with Konstantopoulou’s 10.7%.
The poll also measured support for potential new parties.
Positive views of Tempi victims’ advocate Maria Karystianou stood at 41.7%, against 47.1% negative.
Meanwhile, potential backing for a new party led by former prime minister Alexis Tsipras was measured at 20.4%, with “core support” at 7.1%.
