ND steady at 25.5%, PASOK gains momentum, poll shows
Ruling New Democracy remains steady at 25.5% in voter intention, while main opposition PASOK recorded modest gains, rising to 12% following its recent party congress, according to a Pulse poll conducted for SKAI TV between March 29–31.
The poll, conducted before the OPEKEPE agricultural payments case became politically prominent, also showed other parties’ standings: Nationalist Greek Solution at 7.5%, protest party Course of Freedom at 7.5%, the Communist Party (KKE) at 7%, and SYRIZA dropping to 4%. No other party crossed the 3% threshold.
Regarding public concerns, 43% of Greeks cited economic consequences from the Middle East conflict as their top worry, followed by military involvement (20%), general instability (17%), humanitarian crises and refugee flows (13%), and terrorism (5%).
Activist Maria Karystianou, whose daughter was among the 57 victims of the Tempe railway disaster, announced a new political movement on April 1. A theoretical vote share for her party remained at 26% in the poll, unchanged from previous measurements. Respondents’ support for former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras also showed little movement.
Analysts note that ongoing investigations and emerging political movements continue to create a fluid opposition landscape in Greece.
